Note: please let me the old farmer tell the story in my own simple words …….
Thinking … What can I grow here in sub-tropics to make money? Something that big shops don’t sell and it’s in high demand at a profitable price? . Green mango, pomelo, jackfruit, guava. So I can buy trees on social media. Let’s get a couple of hundred. So you’re telling me they’re not true to taste and I need marcott or grafted to get proper taste? So let’s get the trees from a nursery, so I read the label on the back, dig a hole, add potting mix, a bit of NPK, and water. As easy as that they say.
But when I dug the hole, I mixed up the A, B & C subsoil and ended up with root balls and sunken plants in their round hole. Now I rip the line 600mm deep with the tractor and don’t mix the soil, place the potting mix on top, run irrigation sprinklers, and mulch heavily. Next ? Now to add some synthetic fertiliser – but which one? The most expensive with the rock minerals? Or should I just foliar spray the trees? Isn’t there enough minerals and nutrients in the ground? But they tell me it’s locked up and unavailable, Iam thinking but this isn’t how a rainforest works. So you’re telling me that it’s the microbes in the soil that unlock the minerals and make the mulch plant available. Well, how do we get the microbes ?
and how do we feed them to make them stay?
So the microbes eat the sugar, expel carbon dioxide, and turn the mulch into plant food and unlock minerals. So we need to feed the microbes sugar? or naturally Photosynthesis turns sunlight into sugar and the trees send sugar down to the microbes. They in turn feed the tree. So I’ve heard of electroculture and plants love a little bit of electrical current but not too much, so we need salt cause it’s a conductor let’s use sea water No we can’t have salt ,we need sea mineral and we need rock minerals because they’re paramagnetic and help with the conductivity of the soil . Where does electrical current come from? It comes from the microbial activity. So what I’m understanding is let’s add microbes, let’s feed the microbes with sugar and have lots of natural mulch so the microbes can turn that into plant food to make big, healthy plants! But first we need to make healthy microbes and give them amino acids, kelp ect
So the soil breathes in through the loose soil made by worms. The microbes turn the oxygen into carbon dioxide and in a low-pressure system that carbon dioxide is expelled from the ground and feeds the leaves of the tree through the stoma. But if a tree needs nitrogen and the air has nitrogen, how do we get that? The microbes take care of that too? It’s all about the health of the soil and the environment the microbes live in and the available food and minerals the microbes get to live on determines the overall health of the tree.
Let’s talk insects. The first thing I learnt is that insects don’t have a pancreas so they can’t process the sugar, so high-Brix plants high in sugar are pest-resistant?
Yes.
Weeds – don’t we just spray them with a glyphosate? No, that will salt the soil and lock up the minerals, making them unavailable, with the antibiotic properties of the glyphosate. You’ve just killed all your microbes. So what I’m understanding is that every time I use a synthetic fertiliser, a synthetic antifungal, or a synthetic pest spray, it sends my trees into a death spiral, sounds dramatic but yes.
So now I have a bit of a handle on what’s going on. I just need to stop spraying synthetics, trying to kill things that don’t need killing, and concentrate on the health of the soil, breeding healthy microbes which in turn make healthy trees.
And most important of all don’t let the soil dry out keep the soil moist but not wet even through the hot days in summer be very careful not to let the ground dry out.
Sing and talk to your trees walk in bare feet and understand we are all one and in tune with mother nature if we just allow it to be.
A little personal advice I recommend AJ’s products ..
use the sea mineral concentrate for extra Minerals, use the seaweed fertiliser and liquid as a natural stimulant, squish fish fertiliser will boost the biology. Ocean mixed fertiliser will feed the microbes , add more microbes using the mycorrhizal powder , go to the local produce store and get some molasses water it down ten to one and add the mycorrhizal powder and ferment with the nutrients and spray it out on the trees, the natural fungicide and insecticide will assist you in keeping things under control until you get the sugar levels and cell wall structure strong enough. And if you want to attack the weeds, use the natural organic weed demoraliser .
And now I have got a bit of a control on the farm and things start producing and going my way, I’m studying hard on the beneficial effects on human health along with my animals using fermented products and Sea Minerals.
